The River Crouch Coastal Community Team is one of many such Coastal Community Teams (CCTs) around the country.
On some matters it works closely with the Maldon & Blackwater Estuary, discussing shared objectives.
Both organisations are working together on economic plans to improve the rivers.
The River Crouch CCT has produced a comprehensive visitor guide to the river, available from the Burnham-On-Crouch Tourist Information Centre and Rochford Council Offices and online.
Councillors Wendy Stamp and Nick Skeens represent the Town Council on this team.
