Darby and Joan Clubs were started by the Women’s Royal Voluntary Service (WRVS) at the end of World War Two to provide a venue where older people could meet, chat and share a cup of tea.

The Burnham on Crouch Darby and Joan Club was founded in 1949.

The Club meets at the United Reform Church  on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month from 2pm to 4pm.
